Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review, Box Office Collection Day 1 : Ranveer Singh Starrer Crosses Rs 50 Crore Mark Amid Cancelled Telugu and Tamil Shows

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review : The wait is over! Ranveer Singh’s highly anticipated spy-action thriller Dhurandhar 2: The Revenge, directed by Aditya Dhar, hit theatres today (March 19, 2026), following massive paid preview shows on March 18. Building on the monumental success of the first film—Dhurandhar (2025), which grossed over ₹1,300 crore worldwide—this sequel has already shattered several records even before its full theatrical run began. With festive timing aligning with Gudi Padwa, Ugadi, and Eid al-Fitr, the film is riding a wave of unprecedented hype.

    Historic Box Office Start

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review : made history with its paid previews alone. According to reliable trade sources like Sacnilk, the film collected around ₹44 crore net (₹52.71 crore gross) in India from preview shows on March 18, surpassing previous benchmarks such as Stree 2 and OG. This figure even exceeded the opening day collection of the original Dhurandhar.

As of mid-day updates on March 19:

    • India gross : Approximately ₹51.60 crore
    • Overseas : ₹22.25 crore
    • Worldwide gross so far : ₹73.85 crore
    • India net: Around ₹43 crore

Early Day 1 trends show strong momentum, with projections suggesting the film could cross ₹100 crore net or more on its opening day (including previews), potentially making it the first Bollywood film to achieve a ₹100 crore+ single-day haul. Advance bookings were phenomenal—worldwide pre-sales for the opening weekend crossed ₹200 crore, with domestic figures exceeding ₹100 crore in some reports. Combined previews and Day 1 advances pushed totals even higher, with expectations of a massive extended weekend beyond ₹135 crore domestically.

The film’s long runtime (nearly 3 hours 49 minutes) and ‘A’ certification haven’t slowed down the crowds, thanks to high-octane action, intense performances, and the established spy-verse appeal.

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review : The Cast and Story

Ranveer Singh reprises his role as the fierce undercover agent Hamza, now on a brutal revenge mission following the events of the first film. The ensemble cast includes heavyweights like Sanjay Dutt, Arjun Rampal, R Madhavan, and Sara Arjun in pivotal roles. Aditya Dhar’s direction delivers deeper international intrigue, high-stakes action sequences, and emotional depth, expanding the universe that made the original a phenomenon.

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review : Early audience reactions are overwhelmingly positive—fans on social media are calling it a “masterpiece,” “bolder and more lethal” than the first, and praising Ranveer’s powerhouse performance. Word-of-mouth is strong, with many predicting sustained legs at the box office.

    The Dubbed Versions Controversy

Not everything has been smooth. Some Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam dubbed shows—particularly paid premieres—faced last-minute cancellations due to “content unavailability” or technical delays in certain regions, especially in South India. Reports mention over 20,000 tickets affected in previews, with fans expressing disappointment online. Director Aditya Dhar addressed the issue, assuring that non-Hindi versions would commence soon (from later slots or regular shows).

Despite this setback in southern markets, the Hindi version dominated the massive preview success and overall momentum remains unaffected in major circuits. The pan-India release in multiple languages is still drawing huge crowds where available.

Dhurandhar 2 Movie Review : The Revenge is off to an explosive start, rewriting box office history and proving that sequels—when done right—can eclipse even the biggest originals. With no major competition (Yash’s Toxic postponed), this Ranveer Singh starrer is poised for a record-breaking run, potentially aiming for multi-crore weekends and long theatrical legs.

Pakistan Air Strike on Afghanistan Hits Kabul Drug Rehabilitation Hospital, Afghanistan Reports Over 400+ Killed Amid Escalating Border Conflict

In a dramatic escalation of the ongoing cross-border conflict between Pakistan and Afghanistan, a Pakistani airstrike late Monday night struck the Omid Addiction Treatment Hospital (also known as the Omar or Umid drug rehabilitation center) in Kabul, according to Afghan Taliban government officials. The facility, a state-run 2,000-bed center treating drug addiction patients, was hit around 9:00 PM local time, resulting in massive civilian casualties.

Pakistan Air Strike on Afghanistan : Afghan authorities, including deputy government spokesperson Hamdullah Fitrat, reported that at least 400 people were killed and approximately 250 others injured. Many victims were patients undergoing treatment, with rescue teams still recovering bodies from the rubble into Tuesday morning. Officials described scenes of widespread destruction, fires, and chaos, labeling the strike a “crime against humanity” and a deliberate attack on civilians during Ramadan. The Taliban has vowed retaliation and warned of further consequences.

    Pakistan Air Strike on Afghanistan

Pakistan’s military and government have categorically denied targeting any hospital or civilian infrastructure. Islamabad stated that its airstrikes precisely hit military installations, terrorist support facilities, and infrastructure linked to groups like the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and other militants in Kabul and surrounding areas. Pakistani officials dismissed Afghan casualty figures and claims as “false,” “misleading,” and part of propaganda efforts. No independent verification of the exact target or full casualty count has been confirmed yet, with conflicting narratives dominating reports.

Pakistan Air Strike on Afghanistan : This incident marks one of the deadliest single attacks in the broader Pakistan-Afghanistan conflict, which erupted in late February 2026. The fighting began with Pakistani airstrikes on alleged militant hideouts in eastern Afghan provinces (Nangarhar, Paktika, Khost), following attacks inside Pakistan attributed to TTP militants operating from Afghan soil. Tensions rapidly intensified, leading to declarations of “open war” by Pakistan, repeated cross-border strikes, drone incidents, and artillery exchanges. Previous operations have targeted sites in Kandahar, Paktia, and other areas, with both sides reporting heavy losses but providing widely divergent accounts.

    International Reactions

    • India strongly condemned the alleged strike on the hospital, calling it “barbaric,” “cowardly,” and a violation of humanitarian norms, especially during Ramadan. New Delhi urged accountability and de-escalation.
    • The United Nations and humanitarian agencies, including the WHO, expressed alarm over civilian impacts and called for protection of health facilities, urging immediate de-escalation.
    • Afghan figures, including cricketers like Rahmanullah Gurbaz, voiced outrage, questioning “where is humanity?” in attacks on medical sites.

Pakistan Air Strike on Afghanistan  : The conflict stems from long-standing issues: Pakistan accuses the Taliban government of harboring TTP militants launching attacks across the border, while Afghanistan claims Pakistan violates its sovereignty with unprovoked strikes. Diplomatic efforts for a ceasefire have so far failed, raising fears of further escalation into a wider regional crisis.

Kavya Maran Faces Criticism : The Backlash Over Sunrisers Leeds Signing Abrar Ahmed

Kavya Maran Faces Criticism : The world of cricket rarely stays confined to the field, and the latest episode proves just that. Kavya Maran, the prominent face of Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) and co-owner of its English counterpart Sunrisers Leeds, is currently at the center of a heated social media storm following the franchise’s decision in The Hundred 2026 men’s player auction.

Sunrisers Leeds Sign Abrar Ahmed in Historic Pick

On March 12, 2026, Sunrisers Leeds secured Pakistani leg-spinner Abrar Ahmed for approximately ₹2.34 crore after a competitive bidding war, outbidding Trent Rockets. This historic pick made Abrar the first Pakistani player signed by an IPL-affiliated team in The Hundred, a tournament now featuring multiple Indian-owned franchises.

Head coach Daniel Vettori defended the move as a pure cricketing call, highlighting Abrar’s mystery spin, unique variations, and value in the format. The franchise emphasized merit-based selections, with no blanket exclusion of players from any nation.

Kavya Maran Faces Criticism Over ₹2.34 Crore Pick: Abrar Ahmed to Sunrisers Leeds

    Kavya Maran Faces Criticism

However, the announcement quickly turned controversial in India. Kavya Maran faces criticism from a vocal section of fans who view the signing as insensitive, especially given Abrar’s alleged past social media posts. These reportedly included content mocking the Indian armed forces, references to the 2019 Abhinandan Varthaman incident (with “tea” gestures symbolizing his capture and release), and celebratory reactions tied to past India-Pakistan tensions like “Operation Sindoor.”

Social media platforms exploded with outrage:

    • Calls to boycott SRH in the upcoming IPL 2026 season trended heavily.
    • Accusations of being “anti-national” or disregarding national sentiments targeted Kavya Maran directly.
    • Some users labeled the decision “treachery” or urged the franchise to release Abrar immediately.
    • Reports emerged that Sunrisers Leeds’ official X (Twitter) account was suspended in India shortly after the signing announcement, with many attributing it to mass reporting amid the backlash.

Headlines from major outlets amplified the fury, with phrases like “Boycott SRH in IPL 2026” and “Kavya Maran faces fan fury” dominating coverage. Fans expressed disappointment that an Indian-owned team would prioritize a player with such perceived history over broader sentiments.

Kavya Maran Faces Criticism Over ₹2.34 Crore Pick: Abrar Ahmed to Sunrisers Leeds

On the other hand, the signing has been welcomed in cricketing circles outside India—particularly by the ECB and some neutral observers—as a step toward inclusivity in a globalized sport. It challenged earlier assumptions of a “shadow ban” on Pakistani players in IPL-linked setups and underscored that talent should transcend borders.

The episode raises deeper questions about the intersection of sport, business, and geopolitics. While franchises like Sunrisers aim to build competitive squads across leagues, fan loyalty in India often carries strong emotional and national undertones. Sustained criticism could impact SRH’s brand, sponsorships, and fanbase ahead of IPL 2026.

Kavya Maran Faces Criticism : As of March 13, 2026, neither Kavya Maran nor the Sunrisers group has issued an official response to the demands for a release or boycott. Whether this remains a short-lived controversy or influences future decisions in cross-border cricket remains to be seen.

India Clinches Dramatic Semi-Final Victory Over England to Reach T20 World Cup 2026 Final

India into the T20 World Cup 2026 Final : In one of the most electrifying matches of the tournament, defending champions India edged out England by a nail-biting 7 runs in the second semi-final of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. Played under the floodlights at the iconic Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai on March 5, 2026, the clash delivered everything fans crave: explosive batting, record-breaking moments, and heart-stopping drama right till the final ball.

A staggering 499 runs were scored across both innings, with 34 sixes lighting up the Mumbai skyline. This high-octane thriller will be remembered as a classic T20 spectacle where individual brilliance from Sanju Samson and Jacob Bethell clashed head-on—yet it was India’s composure under pressure that ultimately prevailed.

    India’s Explosive Batting Display

Electing to bat first after losing the toss, India unleashed a ferocious assault on England’s bowlers. Opener Sanju Samson (wk) stole the show with a breathtaking 89 off just 42 balls, studded with 8 fours and 7 massive sixes. His aggressive intent set the tone early, and despite a dropped catch by England captain Harry Brook when Samson was on 15, the Rajasthan Royals star made them pay dearly.

Samson found solid support from Ishan Kishan (39 off 18) and Shivam Dube (43 off 25), while late cameos from Tilak Varma and Hardik Pandya propelled India to a formidable 253/7—the highest total ever in a T20 World Cup knockout match.

England’s spinners Will Jacks and Adil Rashid picked up two wickets each, but the flat Wankhede pitch and short boundaries made containment nearly impossible.

England’s Heroic Chase Led by Bethell’s Ton

Chasing 254—the second-highest successful chase in T20 World Cup history if achieved—England refused to wilt. Young left-hander Jacob Bethell produced a masterpiece: 105 off 48 balls (8 fours, 7 sixes), his maiden T20 World Cup century and the highest individual score in a men’s T20 WC knockout game.

Bethell’s explosive knock, including a rapid fifty off 19 balls and a century off 45, kept England alive deep into the innings. Partnerships with Will Jacks (35) and others brought them tantalizingly close. At one stage, they needed 45 from the last 19 balls.

However, India’s death bowling proved decisive. Jasprit Bumrah delivered a masterful 18th over, conceding just 6 runs, while Hardik Pandya (2/38) applied pressure in the penultimate over. The turning point came in the final over when Bethell was brilliantly run out by a direct hit from Hardik to wicketkeeper Samson—ending a heroic innings and swinging momentum India’s way.

England finished at 246/7, falling agonizingly short despite late fireworks from Jofra Archer.

  • India’s New SIM Binding Rule : What Changes for WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal Users Starting March 1, 2026

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : What Changes for WhatsApp, Telegram, and Signal Users Starting March 1, 2026

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : Today being February 28, 2026, we’re literally on the edge of a big shift in how we use our favorite messaging apps in India. Starting tomorrow, March 1, 2026, a new government rule kicks in that could change the way WhatsApp, Telegram, Signal, and similar apps work on your phone—especially if you’re using an Indian (+91) number.

This isn’t some rumor or fake news—it’s a real directive from the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) under the Telecom Cyber Security Rules. Let’s break it down clearly: what the rule actually says, why it’s happening, how it affects everyday users like you and me, and what to watch out for.

What Exactly is “SIM Binding Rule”?

In simple terms, SIM binding means your messaging app account must stay continuously linked to the active SIM card you used when you first registered the account.

    • The SIM has to be physically inserted in your phone.
    • It must remain active (not expired, not deactivated due to non-payment, etc.).
    • Apps will periodically check things like the SIM’s IMSI (a unique identifier) to confirm it’s still the same one and present in the device.

If the SIM is removed, replaced, damaged, or goes inactive, the app may restrict access or stop working on your primary mobile device. This is similar to how some UPI apps now verify your SIM before letting you transact.

    India's New SIM Binding Rule
    India’s New SIM Binding Rule

The rule applies to major OTT (over-the-top) messaging platforms using phone numbers for identification, including:

    • WhatsApp
    • Telegram
    • Signal
    • Snapchat
    • ShareChat
    • JioChat
    • Others like Arattai and Josh

Why is the Government Doing This?

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : The official reason is national security and fighting cyber fraud. India saw massive losses from digital scams in recent years—think “digital arrest” frauds, phishing via cloned numbers, SIM-swap attacks, and scammers using virtual/fake numbers or running accounts without a traceable telecom link.

Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia has repeatedly said no extensions will be given beyond the February 28 deadline, emphasizing that security comes first over any revenue or convenience concerns.

The DoT issued the directive back on November 28, 2025, giving platforms 90 days to comply—hence the March 1 start date.

Key Changes You’ll Notice (or Not)

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : For most people who keep their main SIM inserted and topped up, this might feel invisible at first. But here are the practical impacts:

    • On your primary phone — The app should keep working normally as long as your registered SIM is in and active. If you remove it (e.g., to use a travel SIM abroad or switch devices often), expect potential lockouts or forced re-verification.
    • WhatsApp Web / Desktop / Linked Devices — Sessions will auto-logout every 6 hours (or less in some cases). You’ll need to scan the QR code again from your phone—which indirectly checks the SIM is present.
    • Multi-device limits — Stricter checks could make it harder to run the same account on many linked phones or companions without frequent SIM verification.
    • Roaming or eSIM users — If you’re abroad but your Indian SIM stays active (e.g., via roaming), it should be fine. But Wi-Fi-only setups without the physical SIM might break.
    • What if your SIM dies? — If it’s lost, damaged, or deactivated, you may lose access until you reactivate the same number or (possibly) migrate the account—details on migration aren’t fully clear yet.

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : WhatsApp has already started testing this in beta versions for Indian users, with popups warning: “Due to regulatory requirements in India, WhatsApp needs to check that your SIM card is in your device.”

    India's New SIM Binding Rule
    India’s New SIM Binding Rule

    Is There Any Pushback?

India’s New SIM Binding Rule : Yes—quite a bit. The Broadband India Forum (representing big tech like Meta/Google) called the directive “unconstitutional” and “ultra vires” (beyond legal powers), arguing telecom rules shouldn’t directly control OTT apps. There are reports of legal challenges and standoffs, but as of today, the government is firm—no extensions, compliance required.

Platforms are complying to avoid penalties under the Telecommunications Act, 2023.

Tips for Users in Lucknow (or Anywhere in India)

    • Keep your registered SIM active and inserted in your main phone.
    • Top up regularly if you have a low-balance plan.
    • For web usage, get used to more frequent logins.
    • If you travel a lot or use dual-SIM setups, test things early tomorrow.
    • Backup chats regularly (WhatsApp has cloud backups, but better safe!).
    • Watch official app updates and DoT announcements for any last-minute tweaks.

India’s New SIM Binding Rule is all about making messaging more traceable to cut down on fraud—but it does add friction for some legitimate use cases like device switching or privacy-focused setups.

  • International Women’s Day 2026 – Give To Gain: When We Support Women, We All Rise

International Women’s Day 2026 – Give To Gain: When We Support Women, We All Rise

International Women’s Day 2026 : March 8, 2026 marks another powerful chapter in the long history of International Women’s Day (IWD). Falling on a Sunday this year, the global observance invites everyone—individuals, communities, organizations, and governments—to reflect on women’s achievements while pushing harder for gender equality. As we stand in late February 2026, with just under two weeks to go, the momentum is building in places like Prayagraj and across Uttar Pradesh, where women’s empowerment initiatives, cultural programs, and community discussions are already taking shape.

    The Dual Themes Guiding 2026

International Women’s Day 2026 : This year features two prominent, complementary themes that highlight different but interconnected paths to progress:

    • The official IWD campaign theme from internationalwomensday.com is “Give To Gain” (#GiveToGain). At its core, this theme reminds us that generosity creates a virtuous cycle. When we give—time, mentorship, resources, funding, opportunities, visibility, or support—to women and girls, we all gain. Societies become stronger, economies more inclusive, families more resilient, and innovation more diverse. The campaign positions 2026 as the 115th anniversary of IWD, urging us to make it one of the biggest annual “giving days” focused on gender equality. Fundraising at events, elevating women-led initiatives, and “supporting the supporters” are key calls to action.
    • The United Nations / UN Women theme is “Rights. Justice. Action. For ALL Women and Girls”. This focus demands systemic change: dismantling discriminatory laws, strengthening legal protections, challenging harmful social norms, and ensuring equal access to justice. No country has fully closed the legal gender gap—women worldwide hold only about 64% of the rights afforded to men. The UN observance aligns closely with the 70th session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW70) (March 9–19, 2026), where global representatives will negotiate commitments on inclusive legal systems and barrier removal. Women as judges, leaders, and advocates play a vital role in accountability, anti-corruption efforts, and fairer outcomes.

These themes aren’t contradictory—they reinforce each other. Giving fuels the action needed for rights and justice, while strong justice systems create safer spaces for giving and receiving opportunities.

Why This Matters in India and Uttar Pradesh

In India, International Women’s Day resonates deeply amid ongoing conversations around education, safety, economic participation, leadership, and breaking stereotypes. Uttar Pradesh, with its vibrant mix of urban centers like Prayagraj and rural communities, sees active participation through:

    • Government programs promoting women’s self-help groups, skill development, and schemes like Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
    • NGO-led events, awareness rallies, health camps, and legal aid workshops.
    • Cultural celebrations honoring inspiring women from history (like Rani Lakshmibai or local changemakers) and contemporary achievers.
    • Social media campaigns that amplify voices from small towns to metros.

In Prayagraj, known for its spiritual and historical significance, the day often blends tradition with empowerment—think discussions on women’s roles in society alongside calls for better safety, education access, and economic independence.

International Women’s Day 2026 : How Can We Make 2026 Count?

Whether you’re an individual, part of a community group, school, college, or workplace in Uttar Pradesh or beyond, here are meaningful ways to engage:

    • Give your time: Mentor a young woman, volunteer with a local women’s organization, or share knowledge/skills.
    • Give visibility: Highlight stories of women in your circle—teachers, entrepreneurs, farmers, artists—who deserve recognition.
    • Give resources: Donate to women-focused causes, support women-owned businesses, or fund scholarships/education.
    • Take action for justice: Learn about local laws affecting women, support campaigns against gender-based violence, or advocate for fair policies.
    • Host or join events: From small gatherings to larger programs—discuss the themes, share experiences, and commit to change.

International Women’s Day 2026 : Imagine the ripple effect: one act of giving inspires another, building toward the gender-equal world we all envision—one free from bias, discrimination, and inequality.

  • South Africa vs India : South Africa Crush India by 76 Runs, A Dominant Super 8 Start in Ahmedabad

South Africa vs India : South Africa Crush India by 76 Runs, A Dominant Super 8 Start in Ahmedabad

South Africa vs India : The ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026 delivered high drama right from the opening match of the Super 8 stage. In a highly anticipated clash at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on February 22, 2026, South Africa produced a clinical all-round performance to defeat the defending champions India by a massive 76 runs. This result not only snapped India’s impressive 12-match winning streak in the T20 World Cup but also handed the co-hosts their heaviest defeat in the tournament’s history.

    South Africa’s Resilient Batting Recovery

South Africa won the toss and elected to bat first on what looked like a tricky surface with some early assistance for the pacers. The Proteas suffered a horror start, slumping to 20/3 as India’s bowlers, led by a sharp Jasprit Bumrah (who finished with impressive figures of 3/15), applied early pressure.

However, this South African side showed tremendous character and depth. David Miller once again proved why he’s one of the most dangerous finishers in the format, smashing a counter-attacking 63 off just 35 balls. He found solid support from the young guns: Dewald Brevis contributed a brisk 45 off 29, while Tristan Stubbs remained unbeaten on 44. Their late surge propelled South Africa to a competitive 187/7 in their 20 overs—a total that looked above par given the conditions and the dew factor that often helps chasers in Ahmedabad.

    India’s Chase Crumbles Under Pressure

Chasing 188, India never truly got going. The batting lineup, usually explosive, faltered against a disciplined and varied South African attack. Only Shivam Dube showed resistance with a gritty 42 off 37 balls, but the rest of the top and middle order collapsed under pressure.

Marco Jansen was the star with the ball, claiming 4/22 in a fiery spell that exploited bounce and seam. Keshav Maharaj chipped in with 3/24, controlling the middle overs brilliantly, while the rest of the unit bowled with excellent discipline. India were bundled out for 111 in just 18.5 overs—a disappointing total that highlighted execution issues in both departments.

This 76-run margin is India’s biggest loss in T20 World Cup history and marks the end of their unbeaten run since the previous edition.

South Africa vs India : Standout Performances and What It Means

    • Player of the Match: David Miller – His explosive innings turned the game after a top-order collapse.
    • South Africa’s clinical display in all three facets—batting recovery, bowling accuracy, and sharp fielding—marks them as serious contenders.
    • For India, the heavy defeat dents their net run rate significantly (reportedly dropping to around -3.80), putting them under immediate pressure in Group 1. They now must win their remaining matches convincingly to stay alive in the semifinal race.
