CM Yogi Adityanath: Atal ji had dreamt of Jharkhand’s development but Congress, JMM and RJD ruined it

On the final day of the election campaign in Jharkhand, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched a scathing attack on the Congress, JMM, and RJD, accusing them of derailing the development envisioned by Atal Bihari Vajpayee for Jharkhand, leaving the resource-rich state lagging in progress.

    CM Yogi Adityanath
    CM Yogi Adityanath

“While Jharkhand’s people remained poor, mountains of cash were discovered in the homes of leaders from these parties. Crores were seized from Congress MP and JMM minister Alamgir and his staff—so much that counting machines overheated, requiring 70 machines to handle it. This money was meant for Jharkhand’s development, sent by Modi ji,” he said.

CM Yogi Adityanath vowed that after November 23, following the of an NDA government, every looted penny would be recovered and redirected to benefit the people of Jharkhand while infiltrators will be kicked out from the state.

Highlighting the illegal activities in Rajmahal, Sahibganj, and surrounding areas, he accused the opposition of turning these regions into safe havens for Bangladeshi infiltrators and Rohingya Muslims. “In BJP-led double-engine governments, there is no place for infiltrators, riots, curfews, or hooliganism—only good governance and prosperity,” he emphasized.

    CM Yogi Adityanath
    CM Yogi Adityanath

Drawing parallels with Uttar Pradesh, Yogi stated, “Under the double-engine government in UP, infiltration, cow slaughter, and crimes against women are unthinkable. Anyone attempting such acts is guaranteed a one-way ticket to Yamraj.” He asserted that only the BJP alliance could deliver on these promises, not the Congress or JMM.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath confidently stated that the first phase of voting signals the formation of a BJP-led NDA government with a clear majority, securing more than two-thirds of the seats.

Addressing the crowd, the CM emphasized the “Modi guarantee,” stating that once the BJP government takes power in Jharkhand on November 23, 21 lakh families will be provided with PM housing, and 1.5 lakh government jobs will be advertised.

    CM Yogi Adityanath
    CM Yogi Adityanath

He urged voters to prevent infiltrators from entering, assuring that once the BJP is in power, these intruders will be driven out of the state and their leaders will be held accountable. He also warned, “Bate The, Tou Kate The. Ab Batna Nahi Hai,” cautioning against leaders who divide society based on caste, calling them enemies of the nation.

Yogi further criticized the opposition for allowing infiltration and illegal activities in Jharkhand, stating that while such actions were common before 2014, they no longer occur in India today.

He pointed out that while illegal mining and the sand mafia are destroying Jharkhand’s resources, the people continue to struggle. “In UP, strict action is taken against the mafia,” he said.

    CM Yogi Adityanath
    CM Yogi Adityanath

He also highlighted how the mining, coal, forest, and land mafias are exploiting Jharkhand, pushing citizens into poverty and ruining the lives of its youth. Under the JMM government, he claimed, the state faces a crisis over basic needs such as food, safety, and land.

The CM also made a spiritual appeal to the people of Deoghar, saying, “Every pebble of Deoghar is Shankar.” He called for a true devotee of Baba to win in Baba’s city. Attacking the opposition again, Yogi accused the JMM, Congress, and RJD of putting political interests above the welfare of the people, creating insecurity and dishonoring women.

“They are promoting love jihad and occupying land in the name of land jihad. There is no such thing in UP. If anyone dares to do this, they will face consequences,” he asserted.

Yogi also praised MP Nishikant Dubey for his efforts and recalled the BJP’s commitment to building the Ram Janmabhoomi temple. “When we said we would build the Ram Mandir, they opposed us, but we have built it. Now, Baba Vishwanath and Krishna Kanhaiya will also not remain silent,” he declared, reaffirming the BJP’s commitment to religious and cultural development.

The state holds the top position in creating Ayushman Bharat Health Accounts (ABHA)

Uttar Pradesh ranks first in the Health Professional Registry and OPD registrations based on ABHA

    Lucknow leads in operating microsites

UP tops in Health Facility Registry, ranks second in implementing Electronic Health Records

    Lucknow, October 24:

In a remarkable transformation over the past seven and a half years, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has led Uttar Pradesh from its former “BIMARU” status to becoming ‘Uttam Pradesh.’ Upon assuming office, his government implemented several key measures aimed at strengthening the state’s healthcare infrastructure and ensuring affordable, quality medical care for its citizens. The impact of these efforts is now evident statewide, with residents no longer needing to seek treatment elsewhere.

Uttar Pradesh’s rise in healthcare services has been particularly highlighted by its leading position in multiple areas of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, cementing its status as a healthcare leader in the country.

Uttar Pradesh: 12.45 crore ABHA IDs have been created in the state so far

Health and Medical Secretary Ranjan Kumar stated, “In line with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision, the creation of Health Unique IDs for the citizens of Uttar Pradesh under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) is progressing rapidly across the state. As a result, Uttar Pradesh now ranks first nationwide in several key components of the ABDM.”

He explained, “Uttar Pradesh leads the country in the creation of ABHA IDs, the Health Professionals Registry, the Health Facility Registry, the 100 Microsite Project, and the Scan and Share Module. The state also holds the second position nationally in the implementation of Electronic Health Records.”

Secretary Ranjan Kumar highlighted that the ABHA initiative has been operational in the state for the past year. To date, Uttar Pradesh has created approximately 12.45 crore ABHA IDs, securing the top spot in the country, with Maharashtra following in second place at 5.46 crore ABHA IDs.

Additionally, healthcare professionals from various fields, including doctors, nurses, CHOs, ANMs, and ASHA workers, are being registered in the Health Professional Registry (HPR). So far, 74,789 professionals have been registered, placing Uttar Pradesh first in the nation, ahead of Karnataka, which has recorded 58,919 health professional registrations to date.

    Uttar Pradesh: Ayushman-Bharat
    Uttar Pradesh: Ayushman-Bharat

So far, 61,015 facilities have been registered in the Health Facility Registry

Health and Medical Secretary Ranjan Kumar stated that all medical institutions, hospitals, health centers, sub-centers, private hospitals, clinics, and diagnostic centers are being registered in the Health Facility Registry (HFR). With 61,015 facilities already registered, Uttar Pradesh leads the country, achieving 100% registration of all government medical institutions, hospitals, and sub-centers. Karnataka holds second place with approximately 60,743 facilities registered to date.

Secretary Kumar also highlighted the success of the Scan and Share Module under the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM), which has streamlined registration in government hospitals. The time required for OPD registration has been reduced from about 50 minutes to just 5 minutes, thanks to this system. “Uttar Pradesh ranks first nationwide in the implementation of the Scan and Share Module, with over 1.42 crore tokens generated so far,” he noted. Bihar follows in second place, having generated over 95 lakh tokens.

35 microsites are being operated across the state

Out of the 100 microsite projects implemented by the National Health Authority of the Government of India, 35 are currently operating in Uttar Pradesh. These microsites have been introduced to encourage the adoption of the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) in the private healthcare sector. Notably, Uttar Pradesh is contributing the most health records to this system.

Among these microsites, the capital city, Lucknow, holds the distinction of being the first in the country to achieve its set targets. These microsites not only enhance patient services but also streamline hospital operations through better queue management, hospital management, and data handling, making healthcare systems more transparent and efficient.

For the creation of Electronic Health Records (EHRs/PHRs), hospitals need to have health management systems compliant with ABDM, enabling smooth patient flow and data management within the facility. To support this, the Lab Information System is being integrated into various hospitals across the state. So far, around 5.25 crore electronic health records have been generated in Uttar Pradesh. The state currently ranks second in India, just behind Andhra Pradesh, which has created 5.32 crore EHRs. However, according to Health Secretary Ranjan Kumar, Uttar Pradesh is poised to take the top spot in the near future.

These teachers will aim to educate students through vocational skills and practical experiences. This initiative is expected to aid in the academic and personal development of the students.

    Yogi govt

Under the leadership of Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh, the Basic Education Department conducts this four-day residential training, where teachers are trained in various disciplines.

The objective behind the initiative is to develop these schools into skill centres as per the guidelines of the National Education Policy 2020. The program aims to help students understand complex subjects like science and mathematics and familiarize them with vocational skills.

Promoting the holistic development of students is also a key goal. The aim of this initiative is not just to shape them as academicians, but to provide them with opportunities to develop their practical life skills as well.

In 2022, the pilot project of this program was implemented in 60 schools across 15 districts in which students learned skills in more than 60 activities through four major trades (Engineering and Workshop, Energy and Environment, Agriculture, Nursery and Gardening and Home and Health Care). This effort resulted in a significant increase in students’ practical understanding and interest in these subjects.

Minister of State for Basic Education (Independent Charge) Sandeep Singh stated that the implementation of this pilot project has not only led to an increase in student attendance in schools, but also brought about a remarkable improvement in their learning levels in science and mathematics.

“As students acquired vocational and technical skills, they developed a deeper understanding of the subjects, which is now contributing positively to their academic and personal growth”, he further added.

Inaugurating the training program, ACS Transport L. Venkateshwarlu and special guest Ms. Ekta Singh (IAS) stated that this initiative will prove to be a significant milestone in the skill development of students.

According to them, it will not only foster scientific thinking and technical skills among students but also empower them with the vocational abilities necessary for future self-reliance.

This effort to introduce practical education in schools will give a new direction to the state’s education system and help provide students with better employment opportunities, they pointed out.

Turning challenges into opportunities: Ravi Prasad builds a thriving business from banana fiber

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath revitalizes banana cultivation and associated industries by designating it as Kushinagar’s ODOP

    Lucknow, October 23

Ravi Prasad, a resident of Hariharpur (Tamkuhiraj) in Kushinagar, faced life-changing challenges in 2015 when he was pursuing his MA in Economics. After his father suffered a severe accident that resulted in the loss of a leg, Ravi, being the sole child in the family, was compelled to leave his studies to take on the responsibilities of the household. In that dark moment, he felt overwhelmed by uncertainty.

Seeking a livelihood, Ravi moved to Delhi, where he stumbled upon a stall showcasing various products made from banana fiber at the Pragati Maidan exhibition. Inspired by what he saw, he realized that he could replicate this endeavor in Kushinagar. Armed with newfound knowledge, he returned home and began laying the groundwork for his venture in late 2017.

His fortunes changed when Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath launched the One District, One Product (ODOP) initiative, declaring banana fiber as Kushinagar’s designated product. This announcement invigorated Ravi’s spirit. With determination, he secured a loan of Rs five lakhs from the PMGP scheme, allowing him to kickstart his business.

Today, Ravi’s banana fiber products not only illuminate his life but also empower over fifty women who work alongside him. His success reached new heights when he participated in the International Trade Show organized by the Yogi government in Greater Noida, where he sold all his goods.

Ravi has evolved into a self-sufficient entrepreneur with an expanding social identity. Recently, the district’s DM and CDO visited his unit. Rabi noted that the designation of banana as Kushinagar’s ODOP has revitalized its cultivation and associated activities.

Currently, Ravi produces a wide range of items from banana fiber, including bags, caps, bouquets, pen stands, yoga mats, carpets, carry bags, mobile purses, laptop bags, and slippers. He even exports some of his banana fiber products to firms in Gujarat, showcasing the potential and success of his venture.

Additionally, the water extracted during the separation of banana fiber is sold for 15 to 20 rupees per liter. This nutrient-rich water, which contains calcium, potassium, iron, magnesium, and vitamin B6, is particularly sought after by fish farmers. When poured into fish ponds, it significantly promotes the healthy growth of the fish.

Moreover, excellent organic manure can be produced by composting the leftover waste from the fiber extraction process. Ravi previously made this compost and is now preparing to resume production.

Ravi has also trained around 600 individuals in creating various goods and products from banana fiber. Moreover, approximately 60 to 65 women from different self-help groups collaborate with him.

According to Ravi, the process begins by placing the banana stem in a cutter, which breaks it down into smaller pieces. These pieces are then fed into a fiber extraction machine, which separates the fiber from the stem.

Also Read This: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath: Derogatory remarks against deities, great men, or saints of any caste, or faith are unacceptable, but anarchy in the name of protest will also not be tolerated.

To enhance the extraction, a small amount of salt is added to the juice from the banana stem and heated. Following this, the fiber is dyed in the desired colors, ensuring that the colors are permanent. Notably, products made from this fiber are approximately 30% stronger than those made from jute.

The CM Yogi Adityanath  highlighted a remarkable achievement in silk production, which has increased 84-fold under the current administration. “A day will come when Uttar Pradesh will be recognized among the top states in the country for silk production,” he added.

Farmers and entrepreneurs had to suffer due to the misdeeds of previous governments: CM Yogi Adityanath

He also released the ‘Resham Mitra’ magazine and honored 16 farmers, entrepreneurs, institutions, and designers with the Pt. Deendayal Upadhyaya Resham Ratna Samman. Following the ceremony, he toured the exhibition.

CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted that since the BJP government came to power in 2017, Uttar Pradesh has taken significant steps to promote traditional products. The state became the first in India to implement a dedicated policy for traditional crafts, identifying a unique product for each of its 75 districts under the “One District, One Product” (ODOP) initiative.

By linking ODOP with market access, design, and packaging, the initiative has not only created employment, but also boosted the export of traditional goods. Today, all 75 districts have distinct GI-tagged products recognized across the country, he pointed out.

The Chief Minister emphasized the potential for further growth, particularly through the famous sarees of Varanasi, Bhadohi, and Mubarakpur. He encouraged efforts to make the Silk Expo a platform for advancing Uttar Pradesh’s prospects in this sector.

Referring to the age-old slogan of “roti, kapda aur makaan” (food, clothing, and shelter), CM Yogi stressed that while air and water are essential for life, the need for food, clothing, and shelter is equally fundamental.

He noted that clothing not only meets a basic need but also serves as a vital means to boost farmers’ income and generate employment. Uttar Pradesh, with its population of 25 crores, has a vast potential in silk production, and while progress has been made in recent years, much more remains to be achieved to match the state’s immense possibilities.

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged people to explore the vast potential for development within Uttar Pradesh. He pointed out that places like Varanasi, Bhadohi, and Azamgarh, known for their silk sarees such as those from Mubarakpur, hold significant promise.

“The central and state governments are making concerted efforts to develop silk clusters in these regions. Varanasi silk sarees, a popular choice for auspicious occasions nationwide, have seen increased demand following the expansion of Kashi Vishwanath Dham, which has attracted more devotees and tourists. The establishment of a Trade Facilitation Center at the Varanasi Expo Mart has further boosted this traditional industry”, CM Yogi asserted.

He highlighted the progress of entrepreneurs associated with the saree industry in Mubarakpur and the silk clusters in Mirzapur, Varanasi, and Bhadohi, indicating that the sector has considerable growth potential.

The upcoming PM Mitra Park, a large textile hub on the Lucknow-Hardoi border, will cover 1,000 acres and host various textile-related industries, showcasing Uttar Pradesh’s potential in this field, he noted.

However, the Chief Minister emphasized the need for local raw material production to support these initiatives. He encouraged farmers to participate, noting that the central government offers several schemes for their benefit.

Furthermore, he called on the relevant departments to organize symposiums, seminars, and outreach programs in every district to inform progressive farmers about these schemes and connect them with training and processing programs.

This initiative aims to enhance opportunities, not just in the Gorakhpur division but also in Varanasi, Mirzapur, Lucknow, Devipatan, Basti, and Azamgarh.

CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted that Uttar Pradesh, with its nine climatic zones, offers a unique opportunity to develop and promote diverse agricultural products across different regions. The state has immense potential, especially in areas like Varanasi and Azamgarh, which have been hubs for the silk industry since ancient times.

He emphasized the importance of locally linking silk production and processing with the textile industry to ensure affordable raw materials, which would naturally lower costs and make products more accessible to meet market demand. The government, he assured, will support training initiatives, and assist in raw material procurement, processing, marketing, and design.

The CM Yogi Adityanath pointed out that farmers and entrepreneurs in Uttar Pradesh have long been connected to traditional crafts, but faced setbacks due to the neglect of previous governments, which failed to provide proper incentives, design support, and packaging for their products. This challenge extended beyond silk to all traditional industries.

Today, the state showcases a variety of unique products: Bhadohi’s carpets, Gorakhpur’s terracotta, Varanasi’s numerous GI-tagged items, leather goods from Agra and Kanpur, Moradabad’s brassware, Firozabad’s glass, and sports equipment from Meerut.

These products represent Uttar Pradesh’s rich heritage and provide a platform for youth and entrepreneurs to advance through traditional industries, he pointed out.

The Chief Minister called for a rapid expansion of silk clusters in regions with the potential, urging the relevant departments to collaborate with farmers who could act as “silk friends,” helping to realize this potential and position Uttar Pradesh as a strong competitor among other states.

He stressed the importance of timely incentives to better showcase the state’s capabilities to the world. The upcoming PM Mitra Textiles Park in Lucknow is poised to play a key role in furthering these opportunities.

CM Yogi Adityanath emphasized that silk garments are rooted in indigenous technology, and there is a need to continuously upgrade and adapt this technology. He pointed out the evolution from the traditional hand-operated spinning wheel for khadi, to electric-powered versions, which increased efficiency five to ten times with the rise in electricity use. To further reduce energy costs, solar-powered spinning wheels have now been introduced.

Similarly, silk production must integrate modern processing techniques and align with updated spinning programs, the CM emphasized. He highlighted that alongside daily activities, these initiatives can promote women’s self-reliance at the local level. Such efforts are progressing in line with Prime Minister Modi’s vision for women’s empowerment under the Mission Shakti initiative.

On this occasion, MSME Minister Rakesh Sachan, Chief Secretary Manoj Kumar Singh, Agriculture Production Commissioner Monica S. Garg, Member Secretary Central Silk Board New Delhi P. Shivkumar, Additional Chief Secretary (Silk) BL Meena, Director (Silk) Sunil Kumar Verma etc. were present.
